Too far to reach directly? The text hands off through the Songbirds in between until it lands.

You keep a go-bag in the car and a list on the fridge. You’re not a survivalist and you don’t want a new hobby — you’re just not willing to leave reaching your family up to luck.

There’s no billing to switch on. Nobody can add one later without rebuilding the product.
One radio is a walkie-talkie with nobody on the other end. We don’t sell the single unit as the product.
Open standards, interoperable by principle. If Songbird the company goes away, the radios keep talking to each other.
